Coaching Philosophy and Approach

I believe the real value of coaching lies in facilitating personal and professional growth by helping clients expand their self-awareness, overcome their inner barriers and develop mindsets, skills and behaviours that will allow them to identify and achieve their goals. Sustainable change and the growth of organisations is inextricably linked to the development of indiviuals.

I work on the basis that people are able to find their own solutions, set their own goals and devise their own strategies for change. My role is to provide an objective, experienced, knowledgeable perspective to assist clients as they work through issues that often involve a complex mix of tactical, strategic and relationship aspects.

Each coaching engagement is customised to the requirements of the individual. I work with clients to discover and clarify the underlying needs versus those that are articulated, eliciting client generated solutions and strategies, translating these into clearly defined objectives and success measures.I utilise a number of coaching tools and methodologies, most notably the Enneagram, to facilitate the desired change.

Previous Background

With over 30 years of exposure to a wide range of business sectors and large corporates (multinational and national), I have developed core competencies in strategic planning, business transformation and complex programme delivery. My pragmatic and innovative approach to problem solving, complemented by strong interpersonal skills, has resulted in a proven track record of defining, leading and implementing strategy, and successfully integrating business, technology and people solutions.

I currently also oversee a portfolio of investments including commercial properties.

Previous positions include: Associate Director – PriceWaterhouseCoopers; Part-Owner and Consultant in a restaurant; CEO of a Packaging Manufacturing company

Coaching Work and Experience

Executive coaching has been a natural extension of my consulting and business transformation experience. Driving enterprise wide change projects and company turn-arounds requires a focus beyond the strategic. I have worked closely with the executive and senior leadership, understanding their personal style and helping them to uncover patterns of operating that hinder or accelerate their personal and business growth.
